Political rivalry is usually the reason we do not get to see India and Pakistan cricket match. This time though it was the rain God. The first match was totally washed away. In fact the tournament authorities needed to change rule by introducing additional day only for this most coveted match. That change finally enabled us to see full 50 overs match. The match was totally one sided though. Chasing a massive 356 made by India, Pakistan got all out at just 128 and loss by 228 runs.
The domination in the field by Indians was matched in the IL Master’s group by the Terminator. His unique team selection was as uncanny as ever, however, this time that paid of nicely. He had 10 Indian players in the team and only 1 from Pakistan. In fact the only reason the Pakistani player was there is because D11 does not let you make a team with all11 players from same team. We have our suspicion that this decision was driven more from nationalism than rationality. In any case, great win and congratulations.
The second came the ClutchGod. His clutching power is weak on top as compared to what he does at bottom. Nevertheless, the only reason, he came second was he had taken 2 Pakistan players instead of one. That slight bit of rationalism is what cost him the match. Hard luck mate. Cricket is after all a game of uncertainty. And this is a proof of that. Good job in coming second and best of luck.
Finally, the wooden spoon goes to Adimanav, who somehow manage to save the Ingenious by just 1 point. We think he is taking these warm up matches too casually though and will show his prowess only in the world cup. Best of luck for that.
