Match report by the Veteran: The third match of the World cup 2023 where Bangladesh defeated Afganisthan convincingly by 6 wickets and 16 overs to spare. One of the rare matches where Bangladesh started as an favourite. They did play as the favourite to win their first match of the tournament. Afganisthan was outplayed on all of bowling, batting and fielding.

In the IL Masters’ group, the Vetran after getting two consecutive wooden spoons, finally redemped himself and win this one in style. The win was not that easy though. The Chupe Rustam tried hard and so did The Dark Horse. However, finally it was Veteran’s time to flourish. Hope he continues his good run. Best of luck for that.

The Chupe Rustam who finished a close second did not have the luck to cross the final hurdle. He did put a valiant effort, nonetheless, he could not beat the experience of the Veteran. He is showing momentary briliance and at top of the leader board after this match but unable to convert any match to a win so far. We know that as the tournament proceeds he starts picking up.
