The match report by the Veteran: The 12th and the most anticipated match of this world cup was as one sided as it could be. This world cup is yet to produce even a single close match after 12 of them. In today’s match, Indian bowling restricted Pakistan well below 200 in a 350 run pitch backed by some great bowling by Bumrah and Kuldip and nice captaincy by Sharmaji. Then the captain came in to bat and hammered Pakistan bowling as if they were some club bowlers.

In the IL Master group, it was the day of the Dark Horse. He did what he does best. He did not pick up Gill in Ahmedabad pitch, neither did he pick Sharmaji who scored a 63 ball 86 and still somehow managed to win this. However, knowing him he never cared about taking risks and this time he had the luck to support him as well. He is now a strong contender of one of the tournament rewards. The second position went to the Invincible. He was one of tournament’s favourite because of his past performance. He started the tournament with a great win as well. However, since then his luck is not favoring him. He tends to get a lot of second positions by close margins. This was another such match. Good job coming second but hard luck. Finally, the Ingenious went ahead of others in terms of the wooden spoons. We are sure that she is not be happy about this. It is a long tournament and there is a time to come back. Best of luck for that.
