The match report by the Veteran: The world cup 2023 is becoming the tournament of the Davids and they are beating the Goliaths for fun. In fact, already some of the tournament favourites were fallen to the so called minnows. Afghanistan now did it twice in last 3 matches. First they beat England and then today Pakistan. Today’s match was not just a fluke as Afghanistan won the match fair and square in all the departments. They bowled quite well to restrict Pakistan below 300 and then their openers gave them a great start. Pakistan’s abysmal fielding definitely helped their cause. Finally, they made the target of 282 in 49 overs and won by 8 wickets.

In the IL Master group it was a very close match. The overall score difference between the topper and the bottom was just 120. The Bond, who was having a very bad tournament so far, finally had something to smile about. He won this match although not with a very big margin. But reporter thinks that this win might give the Bond a world of confidence and might be the lucky break which he was waiting for. Long way to go Bond but we know that you do have it in you. The second position went to the Terminator. He after winning the very last match came second in this. Terminator is going through a good patch with more balanced approach. However, this time he went with Afghanistan as favourite and his prediction was to the point. Great job coming second Terminator. Keep it up.

The wooden spoon of this match went to the Chupe Rustam. He was the only one who somehow managed not to get one so far. However, today some dark force was against him and his power of hiding did not save him from that. Hard luck mate and best of luck for future.
