The match report by the Veteran: We have now crossed the half way mark of the WC 2023. Out of a total 49 games 25 had been played. All the teams had now played 5 games each and each of them have 4 more left. Defending champion England had lost 4 out of 5 of them including the one that they lost today. Their chance of going to next round is practically nil. In today’s match, batting first they had scored 156 which was chased down by Sri Lanka in 25 overs with loss of just 2 wickets.

In the IL Master group, it was a very close contest. In fact top 5 had a score difference of just 40. However, it was the day of the Terminator. At the very end the Lone wolf tried giving him a good chase but that was not enough. Including this win, Terminator now had 2 wins and 2 top 3 finishes in the last 5 matches. He is in real good form with his renewed balanced approach. Great job Terminator, congratulations.

The second came the Lone Wolf, in fact she came rushing to top from the second last position once her captain came to bat. With a little more in the board for Sri Lanka to chase, she could have clutched the top postion from the Terminator. She was lucky but not that lucky. Great game Lone wolf, keep it up; Congratulations.

Another loss for the Dude who is wooden spoon holder for today’s match. In this match he was just unlucky. He had a balanced team, however, his picks did not do well. Shit happens sometims Dude. Nothing to be dishearten about. Hard luck and best of luck for the future.
