The match report by the Veteran: The 30th match of the world cup was played between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. When Afghanistan beat England a few days ago, we mortals called it a fluke. Then they beat Pakistan and we thought it to be just another upset. However, after today’s match where they beat Sri Lanka, calling it another upset will simply be insulting. A country where even living is luxury, a few countrymen managed to dream and today it is becoming true. Cricket fan like us lives for this day, romanticise these events. Afghanistan may not win the world cup but today in cricket’s greatest stage they declared that they cannot be treated as minnows anymore and won everyone’s heart in the process. Hats off to them for winning this match by 7 wickets.

In the IL Master group, the Ingenious won her first game after 30 matches. Yes she might have missed some but in the limited number of games she had played, she won more wooden spoons than anybody else. However, she never loose heart and the prize is in front of her. We are sure this was the lucky break that Ingenious was looking for and only good thing is going to happen from now on. Some gets it easy, some looses hope and some carry on until they make it. The last kind, they are the one who survives, who evolves. ‘When the going gets tough then the tough gets going’, the ingenious knows it by heart. Congratulations for the win. You deserve this.

The second position went to the Chupe Rustam. Chupe Rustam is having a dream run in this tournament from the last few matches. He is defying every logic of luck and looks like he had built some AI model unknown to us all and that must be the secret of his success. It is improbable otherwise. Jokes aside, another great game Chupe Rustam and congratulations for that. I don’t think you need any more luck. In fact, I would expect you to bless us with some luck for future matches 😜.

The wooden spoon of this match went to our newest member, the Debutant. He was playing well in the last few games. However, in a game of luck success and failure both are just opposite side of same coin. So, hard luck here and best of luck for the future matches.
