The match report by the Veteran: The 33rd match of the WC 2023 was between India and Sri Lanka. Last time they met against each other in this ground in a world cup match was final of WC 2011.mA memorable night for all Indians where India won. However, their story in this world cup could not be more different. India who with this win not only continue to remain at the top of the table, they are now first team to be qualified for the knock outs. On the other hand Sri Lanka after today’s match is out of the tournament for good. In answer of 357 runs score by India, Sri Lanka was all out after scoring just 55 runs and lost by 302 runs.

In the IL Master group, the day belonged totally to the Dark Horse. In today’s match from the very first ball to the very last ball no one even came close to him. His impeccable choice of captain and vice captain along with the bowlers ensured that he is far ahead of his next opponent in the end. Dark horse had his bad days and his good days. On the bad days he usually is found at the bottom of the table and on his good days there are hardly any who could compete with him. He in true sense is a Dark Horse. Through out the tournament he claimed the top position again and again against all odds. His choice of team shows an innate genius which others can only dream of. The second came the Bond. He came into this tournament as hot favourite but could not repeat the performance he had shown in the IPL 2023 which he won by some margin. He had shown glimpse of his past performance time to time and even got two wins, however, it was far from what is expected. As we all know he does not like to be in the second position and for being second and being last is the same thing for him. Best of luck for future matches Bon. Congratulations for this match even though we know you might not be very happy about it.

After a win in the very last match, in this match the wooden spoon went to the Dude. In his excuse, he made the team in just couple of minutes at the very last moment. Hard luck there mate and best of luck for the future matches.
