The match report by the Veteran: The 34th match of the WC 2023 between Netherlands and Afghanistan was the battle of the minnows. Both of them had upset some big names in this tournament. While Afghanistan did it against the defending champion England and Pakistan, the Netherlands is the only team to have beaten South Africa in the tournament so far. However, today’s match won’t be known for any batting or bowling excellences but by the 4 run outs which wiped out the whole top and middle order of Netherlands. In the end chasing just 180 to win, Afghanistan made it in 32nd over with the fall of just 3 wickets. Although semi-final is quite far, but their dream run is yet to be over.

In the IL Master group, the Dark Horse made it two out of two to equal the highest number of wins. Apart from a few small patch of bad games, he was one of the most consistent masters of the tournament. He with his uncanny selections of teams not only now claimed the top spot most number of time, he is now one of the main contenders of topping the tournament leader board as well. He is usually laughed at and ridiculed due to weird team formation, however, the critics failed to realise that there is a method to his madness. In the exterior, he might look like just a entertainer, but he is also a fighter and a genius. Well done Dark Horse and congratulations.

The second came the Invincible. He is another of the consistent masters of this tournament. In fact, he too had his eyes on multiple rewards right now. Before this match he had few bad ones. However, he knows that good things and bad things are part of the sports. He after all is the Invincible and one does not become Invincible without going through both bad and good. For some people it is hard to praise when they come second best as he was the best so many time. Invincible is one of them. However, good game Invincible and congratulations for that.

The wooden spoon this time went to another consistent master, the Ingenious. However, she definitely would not have preferred the consistency of getting the wooden spoons. She got back to back wins just a few days before but looks like that luck is now over. Bring it back Ingenious. Best of luck for that.
