The match report by the Veteran: The 36^th match of the WC 2023 was between a resurgent Australia who despite loosing first 2 matches now won 5 matches on the trot versus a demoralised England who did exactly the opposite i.e. losing 5 consecutive matches. Australia batting first made a decent total of 286. In Ahmedabad pitch, with due helping them, an in-form England side would have made a mockery of the target. However, this is not that England. They never looked comfortable in the chase and finally lost by 33 runs.

In the IL Master group, we now have another winner. The Debutant after a few close calls and couple of wooden spoons finally managed to open his account in the winners list. He joined this group late but in the limited time he had shown some promises. He even challenged the top spot multiple times but until today luck was not with him. Today was not that day. On the way to win he ensured Clutch God did not get to clutch him as well. That in itself a great achievement. Well done Debutant. Many more to come. Best of luck for that.

The second came the Clutch God. One wicket here and there could have changed the result for him. However, his mojo of clutching is not working well in recent past. He is not having a great tournament like some of the other masters. He only have 1 win so far. However, we need to discount for the India matches where he made some self made rule and sacrifice the D11 match to ensure India’s win. And as long as it is working he is not gonna risk it. Well done here and take a bow for the selfless attitude. Great job.

The wooden spoon of the match went to the Invincible. He was having a pretty decent tournament until a few days ago. However, from last few matches his performance is not up to the mark. Due to that he lost the leader board lead to multiple players. Hard luck mate. Better luck next time.
