The match report by the Veteran: The 40th match of the world cup was in paper between Australia and Afghanistan. Actually, the match was between one man Maxwell and against Afghanistan. While chasing a score of 291, Australia was at one point of time 91 / 7 with Maxwell batting at 22 from 26 balls. Everyone was confident that this was Afghanistan’s match. However, when the match ended on 47th over, Maxwell was at 201 not out of 128 balls and partnering with him was his captain who made a 68 ball 12 which was probably as great an innings. In the end Australia showed why they are the 5 time world champions and won this impossible match.

In the IL Master group, the Debutant won another one. Similar to Australia, it was more of Maxwell’s win. He was the only master who had taken Maxwell as captain and got his reward for that trust. Great choice of captain. In the limited time he played in the IL master group, the Debutant had shown a lot of potential to be one of the bests. He joined the contest late. The second came the Ingenious. She time to time changes her tactics and surprises us by coming to the top but then again loses her way. She had requested the reporter to be mentioned in this report that, even if for some small span of time she did came top tonight. However, looks like she would have remained at the top had Maxwell not played that ridiculous innings. Hard luck their mate. Best of luck for the future.

The wooden spoon of the match went to the Clutch God. Such was the impact of Maxwell’s innings that he clutched the Clutch God from the very top to the very bottom just because he was the only one in the group who didn’t have Maxwell. Hard luck mate. Shit happens. Best of luck for the future.
