The match report by the Veteran: The 41^st match of the WC 2023 was a must win match for New Zealand to qualify for semis. They did it in style. They chased a well below par total of 171 set by Sri Lanka in 24th over to practically qualify for the semis. Theoritically Pakistan has a chance, however, it is nearly non existent. This also means that India is going to meet New Zealand in the knock out.

Off the field, in the IL Master group, it was the day of the Ingenious. She had a nightmarish tournament, however, time to time we had seen the spark of genious. With this win she may be far from the top, however, she now equalled her best friend Lone wolf in number of wins. She from last few matches coming very close to win in almost every match. Her choice of captain and vice captains are impeccable in almost all the recent matches. This win was actually just waiting around the corner for her. Sometimes even genious fails without help of luck. Such was the story of Ingenious. Looks like things are now looking up. Great job Ingenious. Congratulations.

The second came the Bond. Bond, as per his calibre having a bad tournament. His terrific show in IPL had now became mere memories. He came close to win today, however, did not have enugh luck to beat the Ingenious. On his glory days, he used to win thse game 9 out of 10 times. However, those days were gone. He we know are usually not happy with a second position and in his own word a second postion and wooden spoon is same for him. Not really Bond. However, a great game tonight and best of luck.

The Terminator received the wooden spoon of this match. He was until now the only competitor of least number of wooden spoons along side Chupe Rustam. Not any more unless Chupe Rustam gets another one. Hard luck mate. Best of luck for future.
