The match report by the Veteran: The 45^th and the final match of the group stage of WC 2023 was between India and Netherlands. With the form India had in recent time, this match was supposed to be a cakewalk and it was. India put 410 on board with top five went on to make half centuries and two of them converted it to centuries. In response, Netherlands got all out with just 250 on board.

Off the field in the IL Masters’ group, it was the Clutch God who stole the show. He usually makes some sacrifices in all India’s matches. For a change, he did not do that in this game and proved that he had it in him to win. He was the one who won the final match of the IPL by tiniest of the margin. This was the match where he is showing us that he could do the same again if he just wants to, however, selfless that he is, he won’t do that in case India manages to reach the final. As a reporter, I have to tell him, that these are fools’ errand but then as a hardcore India supporter I would say, if that fools errand is working, let’s not change it. The second came the Invincible. After getting the wooden spoon in the very last match, he bounced back strongly. He is the one closest to Veteran in the run of leaderboard, however, a few bad performance in the recent past increased the gap. With 3 more games left, he would need to repeat this performance few more times to catch up. Overall, Invincible is one of the most consistent among the masters but he could not repeat his incredible performance of IPL. Only a few more game left to make it up for that. However, the Veteran would not go down without a fight. So, game on 😀. Great game today and congratulations.

The wooden spoon of the match went to the Ingenious. She had her 2 consecutive wins a couple of matches before. Now, she is back to saving others from wooden spoons. Today it was Veteran’s day to be saved. Thanks Ingenious. However, hard luck and hope you have more luck in the next few matches.
