The match report by the Veteran: The second semi final of the world cup was between Australia and South Africa. History was against South Africa as they never could have won any semi final in any editions of the world cups. Unfortunately, for them history repeated itself. It was probably a good toss to loose which South Africa won and batted first. They collapsed in front of the swing of Mitchell Starc and mange to put a below par target of 213. In response, Warner and Head came all guns blazing. So, when Warner got out in the first ball of 7th over, they were already at 60 runs and for South Africa the match was nearly done for. However, due to some motivated bowling by the spinners and Coetzee they managed to make a match out of this. In fact, in the end due to some way ward captaincy, dropped catch and bad luck they lost the match by 3 wickets.

In the IL master group, after a selfless display in the last match which brought him a wooden spoon, he came back and showed that he could win when he wants to. He too may be in the verge of repeating history. In the last tournament, he won the final match. However, that might not happen if he wants to be selfless again in final. My suggestion would be to make a team of your choice and close the D11 until India wins 😀. Win it or loose it, you will forever be remembered as Clutch God the Selfless. Some wins game, some wins heart and only a few like you manage to win both. Great game Clutch God and congratulations.

The second and by some distance came the Ingenious. This is second time in two matches she came second. When she wins she wins in a flurry and then when she starts losing, that too happens the same way. She could only hope that her form continues one more match and she does one better in the final. However, other masters will not make it easy. The best part about Ingenious is the patience and the diligence with which she plays every match. Someone else at her position might have already left the game but she is not a quitter. She is Ingenious and she knows that a few bad luck does not define what she really is and she proved that to us time and again. Good game today Ingenious and congratulations.

The wooden spoon today went to the Lone Wolf. She like her best friend in the group Ingenious had seen many peaks and falls as well. This was one such unlucky match. Hard luck and a bad day today Lone Wolf. Best of luck for the only match left.
