The Veteran (Gurgaon), 12 Apr, 2025: DC seems to be unstoppable at the moment with 4 wins out of 4 matches they played in this IPL. At this moment it feels like they can do nothing wrong. However, currently GT is on top due to better nrr but they have played one extra match. KKR after a heart breaking 4 run loss in the beginning of the week came back strongly against CSK and improved their nrr to come to the third spot. RCB claims the 4th spot mostly because of their away match dominance. Their home match performance is a completely different story though. KKR, RCB, PBKS and LSG are all having 6 points and the only thing separating them is their nrr. The rest of the teams are not performing well. The tournament favourite SRH managed only one win 5 matches and 5 times winner CSK and MI had the same number of wins with CSK playing 1 extra match.

Some of the best performance this week goes to Hardik Pandya of Mumbai, Priyansh Arya from Punjab, KL Rahul from Delhi and Sunil Narine from Kolkata. Out of them, Hardik Pandya remained the only tragic hero who nearly won MI the match firstly by taking 2 wickets and later making a blitzkrieg batting display. Priyansh Arya had played a gem of an innings to score this IPLs second 100. KL Rahul played an unbeaten 53 ball 93 where almost all other batters struggled and felt like he wanted to prove something in his actual home ground. Sunile Narine did what he used to do so many times for KKR. He took 3 wickets which is the highest of the match and then came to bat as opener and scored 18 ball 44 which again was the highest score of the match.

In the Virtual world, lot of things are happening. This was a week of both triumph and the heart breaks. The ClutchGod now won his 4th match and now he is having the highest win among the masters. His motto of, ‘Win hai ya lun hai’ is definitely working. This is also evident by the fact that he won 3 wooden spoons as well. His quirky team selection and bold omissions have helped him so far in coming to the top. Great game mate. Hope it continues.

The second position in terms of number of wins are currently held by 4 people making it a cut-throat competition. So, ClutchGod be careful. They are The Dark Horse, The Lone Wolf, the Dude and the Bond.

The Dark Horse is still riding on his performance of first few matches. In fact his recent form is so abysmal that he went to 4th position from the first in the race of fastest to 25K. In fact, he lost his top position as captain cool as well by a very small margin. He could definitely recover his position at top in Captain cool as there are plenty of matches to go. However, unless he does really well it will be hard to come at top in the race to 25K. He received 2 wooden spoons since the last report. This needs to be improved mate. Good luck for that.

The Lone Wolf, who had a field day last week, did increase her win tally by one, however, it as not as dominating as it was last week. She with consistent performance managed to come at very top in the fastest to 25k race but then slipped in couple of matches with unnecessary risks and lost her position to the Veteran. She is definitely in the contest and one good win can change the course for her. She after a quiet start had surely found her mojo (or may be the black mojo) back and is one of the top contenders now. Well played so far mate. Good luck.

The Dude with his casual efficiency winning at regular intervals. He was mostly an audience until last tournament, however, he is now serious. The Veteran thinks that, he now found out the winning combination and even when he does not win he comes at top halves most of the time. Great going mate. A little bit push and this tournament might be yours. Good luck for that.

The Bond, well, not much to say about the Bond. He never believed in mediocrity. He now has 3 wins but 8 losses as well. He is on course of breaking his own record of 10+ wooden spoons this time. Definitely not a good display of your skill mate. You need to increase your tally of wins. Good luck for that.

The HR is doing really well with no wooden spoon so far and two wins. In fact, if he could win couple of more matches and not receive any wooden spoon, he will have the upper hand for the highest number of wins. Many matches to go. Keep doing the good work.

Next comes the Expert, she is slowly and surely coming back to the form. She is now in winning distance from fastest to 25K and she is usually at top 3/4 in most matches. So, a little bit of luck and and she can very well come to the top spot. Awesome display of consistency. Just a little bit more push is required. Good luck with that.

The Veteran had finally tasted his first win. He is not a risk taker like the others. This is clear from his performance as well. He is currently at top of leader-board as well as captain cool, however, he has just won 1 match and received 1 wooden spoon. He definitely need to take more risk. Best of luck with that.

Akshu Baby had finally won his first match. He had only played 15 matches and did really well in those matches. His average of 797 is the highest and well beyond all other masters. This shows he definitely had the capability. Come on mate, join more games and make it more competitive. Well played so far.
