The match report by the Veteran: The 42nd match between South Africa and Afghanistan did not have any importance for the ongoing world cup 2023. However, this was the match where South Africa needed to prove, not to others, but to themselves that they could chase well. They did manage to win in the end, however, it was no way a comfortable win. Afghanistan spinners made it quite difficult for the South African batsmen. In the end the Van Der Dussen and Phehlukwayo made them through this tricky chase.

Off the field in the IL Masters’ group, the day belonged to the Ingenious again. She had now won back to back matches second times in this tournament. Her achievement of consecutive wins could only be seconded by her wins of wooden spoons. We may make fun of her for having so many wooden spoons or think of her as saviour from getting the spoons, however, you can’t just take her lightly. She is now having 4 wins which only 5 other masters have. She might have lost a lot due to bad luck or bad judgment, but she is not far from top now. If this form continues anything could happen. In fact with this win she has now beaten her best friend Lone Wolf. Great job Ingenious and congratulations.

The second place went to the Chupe Rustam. He is having an incredible run in this tournament. In fact he is so consistent that despite not having played two matches, he is now in second position beating multiple others who had played all the matches. His consistency is BRADMANESQUE. His strategy is simple but powerful. As per my personal observations, he usually keeps the most famous players or most consistent players. Then if there are some doubts, he takes the one who has been picked more by the D11 folks or has more points and of course along with that he uses some AI of his own. Whatever, he does he had cracked the code of D11 and we masters are in awe. Great game Chupe Rustam. Congratulations.

As in the top, so does in the bottom, for the second time in a row, the Terminator won the wooden spoons. Not sure if he is trying to match his performance of last IPL or it is just a streak of bad luck. Whatever be the case, best of luck for next match.
