Match report by the Veteran: The 43^rd match of the WC 2023 was almost a no consequence match as it had no impact on the ongoing tournament. For Bangladesh, this match was the key to qualify for the Champions trophy. Chasing a decent total of 306, Marsh came all guns blazing to make a quick-fire 177 in 132 balls to achieve target in 45^th over with 8 wickets to spare. This game would do a lot of confidence boost to the Aussies before the semi finals.

Off the field, in the IL Master group, it was the day of the Bond. Yes, after a long time we could see the Bond at the top. He came second in the very last match and now he made it to the top. We were talking abut how he is not happy with the second position and today he made it clear that if he is playing it will always be for the win. He might get loads of wooden spoons, but that will never prevent him to take any risk as he is in true sense of the word the Bond and he believes in that. There may not be a lot of time for him to come back in the tournament. However, he would definitely give it a try. We expect nothing else. Well done today Bond and congratulations.

The second came the Lone Wolf. As a reporter, I am not sure whether to congratulate her or to be sorry for her. She had more ups and downs in this tournament than the most treacherous roads of Gurgaon. However, when it comes to win she usually get stuck at the second position. She, probably got clutched more times than any other master in this tournament. Even in this match, she was going strong until Smith came and took the game away from her. She definitely had the skills and the wills, however, luck is sometimes important too. She is an example of that. Can’t help there mate. Only way to get out of this is to have trust in your instinct and have patience. However, great match and congratulations.

The Dude received the wooden spoon in this match. He as we all know is like a monk and just play for the enjoyment and does not care about the numbers. Time to time he shows brilliance and comes top and then he might take it too casually and get wooden spoons. Show us your best Dude. Only a few more matches left. Best of luck for that.
