Cricket,in India, is no less than religion. In fact, with so many languages, religions, rituals and 1.4 billion people, one thing that connects them all is a game called cricket. And the days like these where they win against their nemesis are what the whole nation waits for. This day was even more important as the last time these two teams met in an ICC tournament was the final of world cup 2023 and India who at that time was having a dream run in the tournament by winning all off their matches, lost the final. It was a heart break. This match today was a match to make up for the old wound. Yes, Australia’s bowling line up is nothing compared to what it was that day and yes Champions trophy is definitely not world cup but this is as close as it can get until next world cup which is 2 years away. In a slow track Australia managed to score 264, however, it was never going to be enough given the chase master king Kohli is in form and he guided India to a clinical finish. India won the match by 4 wicket and 2 overs to go.

In the IL Master group, Mr Man managed his second win and he along with the Dark Horse and Akshu Baby are now the contender for the highest number of win with all of them having 2 wins each. Mr Man used all his experience and chose a balanced side. That and some luck helped him get his second win. He had missed a match, other wise he could have easily been at the top of maximum total score as well. Lot’s of opportunity Mr Man. Play patiently and use your experience. The second came the Veteran. Veteran who started with a wooden spoon and had his one win pretty early in the tournament, had a pretty quiet run so far. He came second once or twice but mostly stayed in the middle. He needs some luck and probably some change of strategy. However, not much time left. So, best of luck for the remaining games.
